Don't Buy New Toys — Borrow Them!
The Winch House Toy Library

Michelle Vernieux

Anyone who’s had a little one in the house knows the drill: a brand-new toy is the best thing in the world for about three days, and then it’s forgotten in the bottom of the toy box. Multiply that by every birthday, Christmas and “just because” present, and you end up with a playroom full of plastic and a wallet full of regret.

There’s a better way — and it’s right here in Winchelsea.

Its easy

Just like a book library, but for toys

The Winchelsea Community House Toy Library works exactly the way you’d hope it would. You browse the shelves, pick out something your child will love, take it home, play with it until you’re all done, then return it and choose something new. Simple.

It’s a chance for little ones to try out a huge variety of toys without your family having to buy (and store!) every single one.

Quality Toys

For Babies to Five-Year-Olds

Our range is carefully chosen with early learning and development in mind. Whether you’ve got a newborn discovering the world, a toddler on the move, or a curious four-year-old asking a thousand questions a day, you’ll find quality educational toys to match.

Coming along is the best way to see what’s on offer — pop in for a look and our friendly volunteers will show you around.
